The Lagoon Nebula (Messier 8) by Connor Matherne showcases a traditional processing of narrowband data in the “Hubble” palette to achieve a classic gold and cyan color scheme. This tutorial guides users on how to tackle any SHO target simply while achieving very high levels of sharpness and low noise levels by utilizing unique steps with deconvolution and noise reduction. Additionally, these techniques learned in this tutorial can be transferred to other SHO data sets and LRGB data sets alike.
