The Rokinon 135mm f/2.0 ED UMC lens from Rokinon is especially well-suited to astrophotography. At Deep Sky West Remote Observatory, we use the Rokinon as the basis of an ultra-wide field imaging system capable of capturing the largest deep sky objects and showing them in their full context within the night sky. The fast f/2 maximum aperture makes the Rokinon 135 especially effective at capturing intergalactic cirrus and integrated flux nebulae as the striking areas of nebulosity around Polaris called the “Angel Nebula” (Mandel-Wilson 2) shown above.
